• Description: An Act to amend the Law relating to the Representation of the People of the United Kingdom. ("The Third Reform Act, 1884").
  
  The Third Reform Act of 1884 extended the vote to male householders in county constituencies (householders in the boroughs had been enfranchised since the Second Reform Act of 1867). Taken together, these measures extended the same voting qualifications as existed in the towns and countryside, and essentially established the modern one member constituency as the normal pattern for Parliamentary representation.
